Josh Creel is an assistant sports turf manager at East Carolina University, a position he was elevated into in January of 2014.

Creel handles the treatment and condition for the grass and turf playing surfaces in numerous Pirate athletics facilities, preparing the fields for practice and events while ensuring they meet competition standards and protocol.
Creel began his career as a sports turf student assistant as an undergraduate student from 2007-11, before being a temporary staffer from 2012-14.
A Grifton, N.C., native, Creel earned his bachelor's degree at ECU in 2011. He is also a volunteer at the Hugo Fire Department.
