Jeff Oliver begins his third season as the equipment manager for the East Carolina baseball team, while assisting with football.
Prior to joining the ECU staff on a full-time basis, Oliver was a graduate assistant equipment manager at Texas Christian University, where he worked primarily with the men's and women's basketball teams.
Prior to working at TCU, he spent a summer interning with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League working with the wide receivers group during mini-camps, training camp and through the 2011 preseason.
A native of Zebulon, N.C., Oliver received his bachelor's degree in sports studies with a minor in communications from East Carolina, where he served as a student equipment manager with the Pirates football program for three years. His duties included assisting the positional coaches with practices and game, as well as setting up and breaking down of locker rooms on game days.
Oliver administers the equipment operations for practice as well as games for the Pirates, including equipment upkeep, laundry, set up and overall equipment procedures. He is an active member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
