Todd Hendrix begins his first season as an assistant equipment manager at East Carolina University where he works directly with the baseball team, a position he began in September of 2016.
Prior to joining the ECU staff, Hendrix was an assistant equipment manager at Georgia Southern University (April 2015 – September 2016), where he helped oversee ordering, sizing, forecasting and laundering of athletic apparel and footwear for 14 Olympic sports including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.
From July 2014 to April 2015, Hendrix served as the Olympic Sports Intern at the University of Oregon working directly with the Director of Equipment and four full-time assistants on a daily basis. Hendrix received, issued and tracked sports equipment using Sport Soft accountability software, while helping oversee daily activity and preparation of the Matthew Knight Equipment Room.
Hendrix received his bachelor’s degree in sports management and marketing from Marshall University in 2014, where he served as a student equipment manager in the Thundering Herd Olympic Equipment room for two years. His duties included inventory, inspection, issuing and storage of sports apparel, footwear and equipment, while helping to organize team needs for travel.
A native of Shelby, Mich. and a nine-year military veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Hendrix administers the equipment operations for practice as well as games for the Pirates, including equipment upkeep, laundry, set up and overall equipment procedures. He is an active member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
