Climbed to the top of the depth chart following a successful spring and will enter junior year as a projected starter at one of the end slots although a competitive battle with Kendall Futrell likely will be waged all season … Athleticism has allowed a quick acclimation to collegiate level during first three seasons in the program, although progress took a slight step back in 2018 because of a nagging injury … Gained familiarity with the tweaked, but more aggressive scheme of the new coaching staff … Booked three tackles, including two for lost yardage (-7), in the first spring scrimmage on March 30 before adding four more in the second contest (April 6) … Stood among unit leaders with six stops and two TFLs (-6) during the Purple-Gold Game on April 13.

2018: Slowed by an injury as a sophomore, appearing in just six games as a reserve defender and on special teams ... 2017: Tallied 15 tackles (four solo) in nine contests as a redshirt freshman … Made one start (UCF) … Did not play against West Virginia, Connecticut and USF … Booked at least one stop in six outings and posted multiple-tackles four times … Recorded a season-best four hits on two occasions (Temple, UCF) … Added three tackles during a non-conference matchup against BYU and contributed two stops in home finale vs. Cincinnati … Twelve (12) of 15 overall tackles came against American Conference opponents … Splits include 14 successful hits against the run (one vs. the pass).

2016: Turned in solid performance as a scout team performer during redshirt campaign … Did not experience game-day action, but did assist preparing ECU offense on a weekly basis … Was a late addition to the Pirates’ 2016 signing class, formally inking with program on July 26 – a week prior to the opening of preseason camp.

High School: A two-year football letterman at St. James High School … Collected 64 tackles (32 solo), including eight for lost yardage, as a senior … Also credited with six sacks, six quarterback pressures and a forced fumble in 10 contests during the 2015 season to help lead Wildcats to an 11-4 record … Booked 28 stops (3.0 TFLs) in six outings during junior campaign.
