Clifford Snow is in his fifth season as East Carolina's Director of Football Operations, a position he accepted Dec. 15, 2004.
Prior to his appointment at ECU, Snow served in the same capacity at Southeastern Conference member South Carolina under head coach Lou Holtz beginning in 1999. In addition, he also held the title of USC's Special Assistant to the Head Coach-Administrative Duties while in Columbia, overseeing various phases of Lou Holtz' day-to-day, non-coaching commitments and public relations responsibilities.
Snow also coordinated and handled all of the Gamecock program's obligations involving NCAA compliance, player development, financial aid and housing while also organizing many aspects of the recruiting process, beginning with the evaluation of prospect transcripts to the execution of official recruiting visits. He also played an integral role in all logistical facets of South Carolina's team travel operation, serving as the program's key contact regarding air and bus transportation as well as the establishment of road lodging headquarters.
Before arriving at South Carolina, Snow spent four seasons on Skip Holtz' staff at Connecticut as a defensive line coach from 1995 to 1998, helping guide the Huskies to a 10-3 record and NCAA Division I-AA playoff appearance in 1998. In addition, he served as recruiting coordinator during his last season and was appointed interim head coach in December, 1998 while UConn was conducting a head coaching search after Holtz' departure.
Snow was head football coach at Windsor (Conn.) High School for three seasons (1992-1994) and coached in the high school ranks on the defensive side of the ball from 1984 until joining the UConn staff in 1995.
Snow, 49, earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Central Connecticut State University in 1983 before adding a master's in biology from CCSU in 1993.
He is married to the former Janet Wallace of Manchester, Conn.
