Hopes to bounce back after sitting out the entire 2019 fall campaign because of an injury … If full comeback is realized, will compete for significant playing time and a position on ECU’s two-deep, likely at one of the end slots … A talented and athletic defender whose physical abilities have an unlimited ceiling.
2019: Did not experience game-day action (injury) … Was engaged in full rehabilitation mode by late fall and during the offseason … Tallied five combined tackles during spring drills, including a stop for lost yardage (-2) during the Purple-Gold Game, before suffering aforementioned injury.
2018: Was able to preserve redshirt status by experiencing action in just two games … Played in opener vs. North Carolina A&T and in first American Athletic Conference matchup at USF … Credited with only tackle (solo) against Aggies at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium … Stopped running back Marquell Cartwright after a four-yard rush at the A&T 29-yard line on a 2nd-and-10 snap that resulted in a three-and-out series midway through the second quarter … Spent remainder of the fall contributing valuable “looks” as a member of the scout/developmental squad … Was the only Pirate in the ‘18 signing class to ink a NLI during the traditional period (Feb. 7) after considering over 20 reported offers from Power 5 programs.
