2015: Played in all 12 contests as a full-time reserve at strong safety and as a top-tier member of the special teams unit … Collected 18 tackles (13 solo) … Logged stops in nine contests and was credited with multiple hits on four occasions … Picked up 15 tackles in first six outings (2.5 tpg) before nagging shoulder injury limited effectiveness in final six games (three/0.5 tpg) … Turned in a career-best four stops twice (Navy, BYU) … Booked three hits vs. Virginia Tech, two vs. Florida and single tackles against Towson, SMU, Tulsa, Temple and UCF … Credited with seven special teams stops (five on kickoff returns, two on punt returns) … Of the 11 tackles on defense, eight came on rushing plays … Picked off first career pass at Florida and returned it two yards (which helped set up an ECU touchdown in the third quarter) … Did not record statistics in outings vs. Connecticut, USF and Cincinnati … A two-time game captain (Florida, BYU).
2014: Appeared in 12 games as a member of the special teams unit and as a reserve in the Pirate secondary ... Overall, credited with three tackles (one solo) … Two stops were made on special teams (one each on a kickoff and punt return) … Experienced action in the ECU secondary at Tulsa following an injury to starter Lamar Ivey … Recorded only defensive stop (solo) against the Golden Hurricane at Chapman Stadium … Formally elevated to two-deep status prior to regular season finale against UCF and maintained standing for the Birmingham Bowl clash against Florida … Did not play at South Carolina.
2013: Earned roster position as a walk-on … Was redshirted during initial campaign in ECU program but was considered a valuable member of the developmental (scout) team.
