Expected to handle all of the program’s placekicking snapping responsibilities for the second-straight season … Initially joined the Pirates’ special teams squad as an invited walk-on during the spring of 2018 … Also provides quality depth at the long snapper position as a backup behind Anthony Ratliff … Officially became a Guinness World Record holder on Dec. 10, 2017 when snapped a (American) football 39.96 yards at the Northeastern High School Athletic Complex in Elizabeth City (the delivery shattered the previous mark of 33 yards) … Transferred into the ECU program after two seasons at Georgia Military College.
2018: Enjoyed stellar debut campaign as the Pirates’ top short snapper as a junior … Helped ECU stand 12th nationally and first in the American Athletic Conference in field goals made per game (1.58) … Delivered 21 field goal snaps that resulted in 19 successful conversions (90.5 percent), which allowed placekicker Jake Verity to earn First-Team All-AAC honors after ranking fourth nationally in that category … Also made 29 extra-point snaps with 28 subsequent conversions … Placekicking (FGs, PATs) unit did not suffer a block all season in 50 combined attempts … Included in the field goal total were six from 40-plus yards out (long of 52) … Opened the season with a streak of 11-straight field goals made.
Junior College: Played (snapped) two seasons for coach Bert Williams at GMC … Named Special Teams Player-of-the-Week during sophomore campaign, a season in which he attained a 100 percent accuracy rate on PAT/FG and punt snaps … Also earned a perfect rating on extra-point deliveries and a 99 percent grade on punt snaps as a freshman.
