Will be East Carolina’s projected starting left tackle in 2021 … Is a mature and experienced cornerstone of a veteran offensive line who also will be counted on to provide an emerging leadership role after joining the Pirate program as a graduate transfer (from NC State) during the height of the pandemic in the summer of 2020 … An agile and savvy performer who offers plenty of pass protection and run support skill.
2020: Played in all nine contests on offensive unit and on special teams squad during his inaugural year on the ECU roster … Started the last two games of the season, opening the Temple tilt at right tackle and the finale against SMU at left tackle … As a starter, helped the Pirates close the campaign with a two-game American Athletic Conference win streak – a first since 2015 – by averaging 40.0 points, 212.5 rushing yards and 470.0 total yards per contest … Played key role for a unit that racked up a 265 ground yards against the Owls and a season-high 52 points and 493 total yards vs. the Mustangs.
2019: Played in two games as a reserve offensive lineman … Was in on two snaps during the Wolfpack’s season-opening win against East Carolina and 12 the following week vs. Western Carolina.
2018: Did not experience game-day action as a redshirt sophomore.
2017: Did not play in any games during redshirt freshman campaign.
2016: Spent true freshman season on scout team’s offensive line as a redshirt.
High School: Played both offensive and defensive tackle for Coach Pete Gale at Great Bridge High School … Named first-team all-state on offense as a senior … Was also selected a first-team all-conference performer on both the offensive and defensive lines … A two-time All-Tidewater honoree … Invited to play in both the USA All-Star game and the Blue-Grey All-Star game … Did not start playing football until his junior season … Off the field, served as student council secretary.
Personal: Named the National Youth-of-the-Year for the Church of God in Christ denomination in 2016 (honored at a banquet in Ohio) … Earned undergrad degree in sport management from NC State … Currently majoring in communication at ECU.
