Rickenbacker joins ECU by way of Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, Va. where she plays under the tutelage of head coach Donald Dozier. An elite scorer, she's scored well clear of 1,000 points in her high school career while earning Second Team All-State honors as a freshman and First Team All-Region honors as a sophomore before helping her team to a State Championship as a junior. The team captain comes from a terrific basketball lineage. Her cousin Aziaha James played collegiately at NC State before making the leap to the WNBA; her sister Tiyanna James has played collegiate basketball, most recently at Morgan State; her cousin Ashley James was also committed to play collegiate basketball at Missouri State.
