Daisy (Platts) Kempf joined the staff at East Carolina University in 2024. She currently serves as the Head Assistant with the women's swimming and diving team.
As a member of the coaching staff, Daisy has helped elevate the program, contributing to a third-place overall finish at the 2026 American Conference. During this time, the team produced nine program records, 29 ECU all-time top 10 performances, and seven conference podium finishes, reflecting her strong commitment to her athlete’s development.

Originally from Leicester, England, Platts comes to Greenville after working with Auburn University's swimming staff where she helped coach various groups throughout the year while also gaining valuable administrative experience and earning her masters in kinesiology.

As an athlete, Platts started her career at Bowling Green State University where she was a six-time MAC Champion, two-time NCAA Championship participant (2021-22) and team captain (2022) that held seven school records. After earning her undergraduate degree in exercise science in May of 2022, Platts transferred to Auburn where she was a three-event finalist at the 2024 SEC Championships finishing fourth in the 200 backstroke, 17th in the 100 backstroke and 23rd in the 200 IM. Platts closed her collegiate career earning a berth at the NCAA Championships where she swam in the 100 and 200 backstrokes.
