Brett Johnston will make his East Carolina coaching debut in the fall of 2008.

Prior to joining Chris Rushing[apos]s staff, Johnston played club volleyball for both University of Texas at San Antonio and SMU. He has been involved in a variety of sports throughout his life, participating in boxing, football, hockey and water and snow skiing.

Johnston, one of eight children in his family, received his degree in psychology with an emphasis in philosophy from UTSA in 2005. He is married to wife Shannon, and the couple currently resides in Greenville.
