BehrĀ joined the East Carolina Athletics Staff July 3, 2017 as the Assistant Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement. He spent the previous two years at Louisiana State University as a Marketing and Promotions Graduate Assistant.
While at LSU Behr coordinated marketing and promotional activities for volleyball, womenās basketball, softball and menās basketball. He directed the student marketing efforts for menās basketball that led to a 68 percent increase in student attendance and implemented new group sales plans for menās and womenās basketball, gymnastics, baseball and softball.
Prior to his time in Baton Rouge, he was an external affairs intern at the University of Evansville. While in Evansville he created and implemented marketing and sales initiatives for womenās soccer, menās soccer and womenās basketball. Womenās soccer saw a 65 percent increase in season ticket sales during while menās soccerās single game sales improved 41 percent.
He oversaw a staff of 20 students and coordinated and scheduled all mascot appearances.
Behr began his career in college athletics as a marketing associate with the Ohio University athletics department while pursuing his undergraduate degree.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Ohio University in 2014. Behr completed his Master of Science in Sports Management from Louisiana State in May.
