In her year at Evansville, Dodson instructed the setters and oversaw Jenn Murphy[apos]s performance on the court. Under Dodson[apos]s tutelage, Murphy finished the season with 877 assists (9.04 per set) which ranked her seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference. She dished out a season-high 49 helpers in the Purple Ace[apos]s match against Indiana State and posted more than 40 assists on seven occasions.
Prior to her stint with the Purple Aces, Dodson was a compliance graduate assistant at Georgetown following her graduation from UCF.
At UCF, Dodson was an All-Conference USA selection and was awarded AVCA Honorable Mention All-America honors. She was also an AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention selection. In her senior year with the Knights, Dodson started at setter in every match and recorded the best season in school history during the rally scoring era with 1,377 assists to rank eighth all-time. She finished fifth in the nation in assists per set (11.97) and lead Conference USA.
Dodson transferred to UCF in 2010 from Tulsa where she played in 62 matches and accumulated 1,902 assists to average 8.45 per set. She was named to the C-USA All-Freshman Team in 2008 and was an AVCA National Player of the Week nominee in 2008.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, the former Rachel Vukson earned four letters in volleyball at St. Ignatius of Loyola and was a member of the Canadian National Team. Dodson and her husband Paul, who is the director of marketing at ECU, were married in August 2014 and reside in Greenville.
