Brandon Smith, who has served on the East Carolina Athletics Video Services staff as assistant video director since 2007, was promoted to director of engineering in December, 2020.
In addition to editing video content for the ECU Athletics website and athletic events, Smith has oversight of video board production for Pirate football and basketball games. He also serves as the primary contact for all engineering facets, technical expertise and troubleshooting inside athletics facilities.
Prior to his arrival at ECU, Smith was a director of production for news broadcasts at WNCT in Greenville from 2004-07.
A Jacksonville, N.C., native, Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in communications at East Carolina in 1999.
