Braden Hinkston started as an assistant athletic trainer at East Carolina University in May of 2025 working with the ECU Volleyball and Dance teams.
Prior to joining the Pirates, Hinkston served two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer working primarily with the University of North Carolina Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field programs.
A Lake City, Michigan native, Hinkston earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Michigan in May of 2023. Hinkston completed a Master of Arts in Exercise and Sports Science with a specialization in Athletic Training at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in May of 2025.
Hinkston is a board-certified athletic trainer, licensed through the North Carolina Board of Athletic Training Examiners and is a member of the National Athletic Training Association.
