Brian Meador joined the ECU Athletics staff in 2010 and currently serves as the director of video production.

In his current role, Meador produces exclusive video content for ECU’s football, basketball and baseball coaches shows, while handling numerous game day and video board responsibilities for Pirate home sporting events.

Prior to his hire, Meador was a sports reporter and anchor at WITN-TV, Greenville’s NBC news affiliate, where he was honored by the Associated Press with Best Sports Feature Awards - the second coming in 2009. He handled sideline reporting duties for ECU football games and occasionally provided color commentary for Pirate basketball games in 2008.

Meador began his career as a sports reporter and anchor at WNCT-TV in Greenville (CBS) from 1994 to 2003 where he won a pair of Associated Press Best Sports Feature awards. He was also honored by the NCHSAA in 2003 for his coverage of local high school sports.

Born in Cheberly, Md., and a native of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., native, Meador graduated from ECU with a bachelor’s degree in communications in 1996.
