Caroline Bevillard serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Administration and Senior Woman Administrator at East Carolina University, a role she assumed in December of 2018.
As a member of the Director of Athletics’ Leadership Team, Bevillard oversees all facets of student-athlete development and life skills. She also has oversight of four sport programs (men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball, softball), provides strategic direction on department initiatives, enhancement of student-athlete welfare and well-being, policy development and implementation, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
From 2019-2021, Bevillard served as a member of ECU’s Chancellor Search Committee and has served as a member of multiple search committees for head coaches and staff positions, including the recent, March 2022 hires of Mike Schwartz (men’s basketball head coach) and Gary Higgins (women’s soccer head coach).
In 2019, ECU student-athletes earned national recognition for their service to the eastern North Carolina region by being awarded as the NACDA/Fiesta Bowl Community Service runner-up. Additionally, student-athletes have realized record success in the classroom with a department cumulative GPA of 3.2 during the 2021-22 academic year.
Before her tenure at ECU, Bevillard spent two years as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi. As a member of the department’s leadership team, Bevillard had direct oversight of the softball, indoor and beach volleyball programs while working closely with the athletic director on the day-to-day operations of the department.
As a member of the development staff, Bevillard and the department generated support for USM athletics while the Eagle Club registered its second-highest membership total in organization history. Bevillard managed the “I’M IN” campaign, which saw 100 percent participation in the Eagle Club from athletic staff members. Her efforts contributed to the success of multiple initiatives, including the groundbreaking of a new volleyball center and the construction of beach volleyball courts.
Bevillard served in a variety of development and fundraising roles at the University of Tennessee from 2012-2017, including a primary focus on major gift fundraising, endowments and premium seating sales for the department’s three-year, $150 million, Campaign for Comprehensive Excellence that directly benefited the student-athlete experience.
A native of Athens, Georgia, Bevillard served as the Assistant Director of Development at her alma mater, Georgia Southern University, from 2011-12. While attending Georgia Southern, Bevillard was an Academic All-American and a four-year letterman on the swimming team, serving as team captain while setting multiple school records.
