Ethan Key is in his first year as the Director of Scouting for ECU Football, a position he officially began on July 13, 2026.

Key’s hire ends a two-year stint at the University of Georgia (2024-26) where he served as a Player Personnel Analyst during a stretch in which the Bulldogs won two SEC Championships. While in Athens, he scouted and evaluated high school and transfer prospects using game film, performance data, and measurable traits. He also maintained digital and physical recruiting boards, supported prospect camps, produced scouting reports, and organized coach recruiting travel and official visits.

As a student at Kennesaw State University, Key worked with the football program as a Player Personnel/Recruiting Assistant from December 2023 to May 2024. He also served as an Opponent Scouting Assistant with the baseball program from January 2022 to June 2022.

Key is a 2024 graduate of Kennesaw State University, where he earned a degree in Sport Management with a minor in Applied Statistics and Data Analytics.
