Ian Martinez is in his first season as the Director of Scouting at East Carolina, a position he officially began on August 18, 2025.
Prior to coming to Greenville, Martinez worked two-plus year at Appalachian State (2023-25) as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel.Â

Martinez arrived at App State serving as the Director of Player Personnel at ULM in 2022. He got his start in coaching at Miami, where he was a football operations assistant for 14 months.Â

He is a 2018 graduate of Arizona, where he earned a degree in Sports Studies.Â
