Johnyce Hilliard, who owns nearly 20 years of administrative management experience in the educational, corporate, retail and music sectors, currently serves as an administrative assistant for East Carolina University's Office of Student Development. She was appointed to her current position, which includes clerical expertise and department budget monitoring, in July of 2021.

Her arrival in Greenville ended a four-year tenure at Fairmont Heights (Md.) High School, where she served as administrative assistant and attendance manager that encompassed a myriad of duties. In addition to working directly with counselors, administrators and FHHS's records department, Hilliard had oversight of registration enrollment and daily attendance reports, while supervising substitute teaching assignments and coordinating various in-person and virtual meetings. She also served as the Hornets' assistant varsity cheer and girls lacrosse coach.

From 2010 to 2016, Hilliard was an assistant store manager for Verizon Wireless that covered northern Virginia and worked as a sales account manager with Coca-Cola Enterprises from 2003 to 2007 that included the negotiation of sales and distribution to over 200 accounts.

Additionally, she owns JSpriggs Management, a business that specializes in artist development within the music industry.

Hilliard initially entered college as a biology major at Howard University before transitioning to a business management curriculum and earning a 3.50 grade point average at the University of Phoenix.
