Jordan Ragland serves as the Director of Compliance for East Carolina University (ECU) Athletics Compliance, a role she has been in since July 2026. Ragland has been a valued member of the ECU Athletics compliance staff since joining in January 2023 as the Assistant Director of Compliance.

As Director of Compliance, she works with all 18 sport programs and oversees various NCAA bylaws as well as rules education initiatives, waiver administration, interpretive research, and policy implementation. She has direct oversight of student-athlete participation records, initial eligibility monitoring, transfer portal processes, prospective student-athlete admissions / NCAA tracking procedures, and external NIL monitoring. She serves as the department's liaison to various campus departments including, but not limited to ECU Global Affairs, Admissions, and the Registrar's Office. Additionally, she is the primary contact for Teamworks/C+R, NCAA Transfer Portal, and the NCAA Eligibility Center, and secondary contact for NIL Go.
Previously, her primary responsibilities at ECU included monitoring Bylaw 13 – Recruiting, Bylaw 16 – Benefits, and Bylaw 17 – Playing and Practice Seasons. She oversaw on-campus visits, camps and clinics, declaration of playing seasons, medical hardship and extension waivers, ticketing procedures, and served as the department’s liaison to Ticketing, Life Skills, and the Business Office. Prior, Ragland served as a Graduate Assistant with ECU Student-Athlete Academic Services. In that role, she was responsible for reviewing academic progress for student-athletes, reviewing class schedules, and providing academic resources necessary for their academic success.Â

Prior to her time as a Graduate Assistant for ECU Student-Athlete Academic Services, she held various internships. At ECU, she served as the ECU Athletics Compliance intern in 2021 and worked closely with the NIL education and programming. She also completed an NIL Research Internship with NC State in summer 2021, an Athletics Communication Internship with Duke University in January 2022 – May 2022 and worked with the Office of Public Engagement for the NC Governor’s Office in summer 2019. Â
Ragland is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) since 2023, and serves on ECU’s Staff Senate since 2024.
A native of Cary, NC, and a graduate of ECU, she received her bachelor’s degree in Sport Studies, and her M.S. in Sport Management at ECU in December 2023. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, getting lost in a good fiction novel, and discovering the latest music across all genres.
