Jordan Ragland joined the ECU Athletics staff as Assistant Director of Compliance in January of 2023.Â
Â
Her primary responsibilities include monitoring Bylaw 13 – Recruiting and Bylaw 17 – Playing and Practice Seasons. She will work with all 18 sports, assist with rules education efforts, interpretation research, and serve as the compliance liaison for Ticketing, Life Skills, the Business Office, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). While at ECU, she will serve as a member of the ECU NIL Taskforce and National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC).Â

Ragland most recently served as a Graduate Assistant with ECU Student-Athlete Academic Services. In that role, she was responsible for reviewing academic progress for student-athletes, reviewing class schedules, and providing academic resources necessary for their academic success.Â
Â
Prior to her time as a Graduate Assistant for ECU Student-Athlete Academic Services, she held various internships. At ECU, she served as the ECU Athletics Compliance intern in 2021 and worked closely with the NIL education and programming for all student-athletes as well as reviewed CARA logs, initial evals for prospects, monitored roster management, and assisted in updating/maintaining records/forms for student-athletes, coaches, and staff. She also completed an NIL Research Internship with NC State in summer 2021, an Athletics Communication Internship with Duke University in January 2022 – May 2022 and worked with the Office of Public Engagement for the NC Governor’s Office in summer 2019. Â
Ragland is a native of Cary, NC, and a graduate of ECU, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Sport Studies. She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Sport Management at ECU. She enjoys researching the world of collegiate athletics as it relates to government relations and the student-athlete experience.
