KJ Redmon joined East Carolina University in June 2025 after spending a year in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) at Western Michigan University, where he served as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. During his tenure, Western Michigan improved its regular season record and earned a berth in the Salute to Veterans Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama.
Prior to WMU, Redmon spent the 2023 season in the Big Ten as a professional strength and conditioning intern with The Ohio State University football program. The Buckeyes finished the year with an 11-2 record, including an appearance in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
From fall 2018 through fall 2022, Redmon was a student-athlete at the University of Mount Union, competing in the 2022 Stagg Bowl (NCAA Division III National Championship) and helping the team capture four Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science while interning with T3 Performance, gaining hands-on experience training multiple Mount Union sports teams.
In the summer of 2022, prior to graduation, Redmon interned with the University of Toledo football strength and conditioning staff. That season, the Rockets went on to win the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship and the Boca Raton Bowl.
At ECU, Coach Redmon oversees the women’s basketball strength and conditioning program and assists with the football strength and conditioning staff.
