Rachel Wilkerson is entering her second season as Assistant Athletic Trainer for ECU Football. Wilkerson joined the Pirates in January of 2024.

Before joining the Pirates, Wilkerson was an Athletic Training Intern at The University of South Alabama working with the Football team.

In May of 2021, Wilkerson earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Southeastern Louisiana University. Wilkerson worked with many different sports including Football, Beach Volleyball, Indoor Volleyball, and Softball.

After graduating from SLU, Wilkerson continued her education and earned her master’s degree in sports management from the University of Southern Mississippi in May 2023. Wilkerson worked as an Athletic Training Graduate Assistant for the Golden Eagles. She worked with the Beach Volleyball, Women’s Tennis, and Football teams.

A native of West Monroe, La., Wilkerson is a member of the National Athletic Training Association. Wilkerson is certified in Dry Needling, CES, Sports Security Management, and Mental Health First Aid.
