Sheri Whitfield arrived at East Carolina University in March of 2005 as an athletics accountant and was promoted to athletics accounting manager in March of 2015.
Prior to her arrival at ECU, Whitfield was a corporate accountant at Pitt County Memorial Hospital from 1999-2005 and an accounts receivable manager at PC Age Computer Center from 1994-99. Her professional career began as an accountant for Hampton Industries, a position she held from 1992-94.
A native of Greenville, N.C., Whitfield earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at East Carolina in 1991. She married her husband Ross in June of 2001.
