Synia Johnson joined the ECU staff for the 2025-26 following the conclusion of her decorated playing career for the Pirates.Â
The highlight of Johnson's playing years is undoubtedly her recognition as the 2023 American Athletic Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player award. She was a three-time Team Captain, appearing in 112 games, making 66 starts and averaging 22.8 minutes played per game. For her career, she scored 609 points, grabbed 339 rebounds, dished 197 assists and plucked 181 steals.
