Taryn Smith, who previously spent the 18 months as a recruiting graduate assistant at East Carolina, was officially named the Director of On-Campus Recruiting for the football program on Feb. 16, 2026.
In her previous role, she assists with prospect official/unofficial visits, recruiting logs, external recruiting plans, prospect transitional tasks (admissions, campus, and NCAA), as well as communicates across various athletics departments, including, but not limited to: ticketing, compliance, and operations.
Smith is a native of Ohio and a graduate of Ohio Northern University, where she received her bachelor of science in business administration/sport management degree in May 2023 before earning her masters in sport management in Dec. of 2025 at East Carolina.
