Kellen Altman returned to East Carolina University on Dec. 12, 2022 as an Assistant Athletics Director for Game Operations & Events.

Previously he served as a graduate assistant with the Pirates’ operations staff from 2013-15, managing more than 15 undergraduate student workers, developing evacuation and contingency plans for all athletics facilities and assisting with event setup and breakdown for numerous ECU athletics programs. He also worked in a professional capacity for ECU as the Assistant Director of Operations from 2015-2017, and as the Director of Internal Operations and Facilities from 2017-2019. In his stints with ECU Athletics, he has managed game operations for numerous sports, as well as special events and the upkeep of facilities.

A native of Myrtle Beach, SC, Altman earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of Charleston in 2007 where he was a four-year letter winner on the men’s golf team. He went on to earn his master’s degree in kinesiology at ECU in 2015. Altman is joined in his return to Greenville along with his wife, Michelle, and two sons, TK and William.
