"Jessica is a versatile guard that can do a multitude of things," says head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener. "She shoots the three extremely well and is a great rebounding guard. She comes from a great high school program and is accustomed to winning."
Gilley, a three-time all-conference selection, comes to the Pirates from Lexington Senior High where she has averaged 15.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game through the end of her junior season. In AAU action, she led her team to the National Championship in Oklahoma and was named MVP of Best of the Best Tournament.
"Erica is going to fit in nicely with our up-tempo style of play," stated Baldwin-Tener. "She is a long athlete that can shoot the three, rebound and defend. As a junior she was player of the year in her conference, which is one of the toughest in North Carolina."
