The Lady Pirates (14-7, 5-3), who trailed at the half 40-32, used a pair of 8-0 runs in the second half to force the Billikens (8-14, 2-7) to overtime after a 72-72 end of regulation score. During overtime, Saint Louis hit 4-of-5 free throws in the last 1:39 to seal the victory, their second in Conference USA action this season.

In the first half, ECU jumped out early on the Billikens as they built a four point lead on four different occasions, the last coming with 14:55 remaing until the intermission, 12-8. But rebounding coupled with Angie Lewis' 17 first half points gave Saint Louis an eight point half time lead.
Jackson lead all Lady Pirates in scoring hitting 9-of-21 shots from the floor while grabbing eight rebounds. Senior Courtney Willis recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Tamekia Powell tied a career-high in points with 10.
Lewis scored a career and game-high 32 points on 15-of-27 shots from the floor, while bringing down 12 boards to lead Saint Louis. Three other Billikens scored in double figures, highlighted by Jana Haywood's 16 points.
