
Women's Tennis Scratched By Tigers

CONWAY, S.C.-- With two flights remaining, ECU took a 3-2 lead against the Memphis Tigers. The Lady Pirates were unable to win a point in both the No.1 and 2 flights. Memphis won the final two flights and walked away with a 4-3 victory, in C-USA action.
East Carolina won the doubles point with Raluca Baicu and Kirstin Buchanan winning at the No. 1 flight, and Gillie Bailey and Cristina Meilicke winning the No. 2 flight.
Memphis gained two match points by winning the No. 5 and 6 singles.
ECU captured the No. 3 and 4 flight points with Gillie Baily and Cristina Meilicke both winning.
Going into the final two flights East Carolina had a 3-2 lead. Neither Ralcua Baicu or Kirstin Buchana were able to walk away with a point.
Memphis earned a 4-3 C-USA victory.
