
Paige Named Conference USA Co-Hitter of the Week

Paige hit .588 (10-for-17), including eight runs scored, to lead the Pirates to a series sweep at Cincinnati. In Saturday's 32-14 victory over the Bearcats, he set school and conference records for hits (7) and doubles (4) in a single game. For the week, Paige posted a .632 on-base percentage and an .824 slugging percentage.
On the season, Paige is hitting .306 on the season with six doubles, one triple, one home run and 22 RBI. He is tied for the team-lead in runs scored (38) while leading the Pirates in walks (27) from the lead-off spot.
Hill batted .421 (8-for-19) in four games last week, including two victories over No. 7 Tulane. He went 2-for-5 with two homers, two runs scored and tied a career-high with five RBI in UAB's 11-3 upset over the Green Wave. He finished the week with 20 total bases for a 1.053 slugging percentage, while posting a .476 on-base percentage. Hill posted three home runs, three doubles and 10 RBI on the week, while scoring four runs.
The Pirates head to Raleigh Wednesday for a non-conference game with No. 24 N.C. State at 7 p.m.
