guys wore black tear away jersey's on Sunday during the Charlotte series.
How do like wearing those jersey's? Ryan Jones : those jerseys are absurd |

| Frank : Ryan, Being a short guy who's
your height myself, I'm amazed that you have a powerful swing, just wondering
where you get the powers from? (lifting a lot of weights?) Ryan Jones : Yes, we have a good workout plan in the fall and in the spring. If i dont lift i tend to feel weak, so i try to lift as much as possible |

after ECU? More baseball? Ryan Jones : I am not worried about that right now, really. I am just worried about getting this team to Omaha |

attribute to this years impressive display of offensive output? Ryan Jones : The coaches. Coach Oz has been working a lot with us and is doing a great job. |

compare to teams you've played on in the past? Ryan Jones : I think we are one of the best teams we've had since i have been here. i see a lot of similarities between this team and the 2000-01 team |

LOVES YOU! How does it feel playing at home in front of the ol' faithful? Ryan Jones : There is no place like home!! We have played at a lot of places in my career here, and you guys are the best out there |
| Dustin : When you signed with ECU
what were your other options? And what made you decide on the Pirates? Ryan Jones : I had a bunch of options up north with Pitt, Penn St., West Virginia, etc... but this was a warmer and the tradition was getting good, and it just seemed like the best option for me |
| Todd Amann : are you surprised with
the success of the team Ryan Jones : What up Todd!! Yah, we are doing good, and its about time you got down here to see a game!! |
| Chris : Do you think that we will
make it to Omaha this season? Ryan Jones : If we dont make it this year, i think we are all going to be disappionted. we have a good team and expecte to go |
| Junglitis : What is the one most important
issue that the team needs to improve on as you come into conference play?
Great job so far and keep the runs coming. Ryan Jones : we cant have any let downs. we have to sweep the teams that we know we can sweep |
| Jduaat Houston : Is it true John Poppert
has a huge tumor on his leg? Ryan Jones : Yes, as a matter of fact it is. he also has a huge hole in his chest and the fattest feet i have ever seen. WHOA!! |
| Tom : Ryan, are you working towards
returning to the outfield or, are yous ettled in at DH. Awesome year, keep
it up! Ryan Jones : Yes, i am trying to get out there as soon as possible. my arm is slowly getting better and i am hoping to throw by the end of the year |

you to go Omaha this season? Ryan Jones : it would mean more than you could imagine. i think we deserve and the fans deserve it |

you guys for the school newspaper, so i've been to all of the home games
and I don't have a question. I just wanted to say that you have on of the
sweetest swings I've ever seen. Ryan Jones : thanks! |
| AJ : Do you feel that Adam Stevens
played a big role in your success. If yes, how so? Ryan Jones : Pez has one of the best swings i have ever seen! |
| Adam : hey Jonesy, As you back upon
your time here at East Carolina what stands out as your most memorable moment
or greatest accomplishment in a pirate uniform? Ryan Jones : I would say the super regional vs. Tenn winning the conference usa tourn, and winning the coach leclair tourn |

that the reason you chose to wear #6 is because that is how tall you hope
to be someday? Ryan Jones : Yes, right now i feel like i am a little tall at 6'4'', so i would like to shrink someday to about 6' |
| Steve : How did the Steelers become
so superior to every other organization in sports? Ryan Jones : it is probably because they play for the best city in the world. DAAAA Burgh!! |
| kaleeb : how do you believe bun buns
have effected your game this year? Ryan Jones : i have never been the same since i had my first production lessons from kaleeb jones. |
| Bill : Would you say that John Poppert
is the Kordell Stewart of this Pirate team? Ryan Jones : no doubt. every team has someone who is a little fruity, and thats john |
| Bill : Is Jason Keeter the best jock
washer that you have crossed paths with? Louisburg misses him! Ryan Jones : he is superb. i haven't had a jock itch yet!! |
| kaleeb : rumor has it that you dabble
in music. ive heard some of your work. when can we expect the follow up album?
Ryan Jones : i had my debut at the stadium the other day, over the speakers. i have some new material but i am putting the finishing touches on them |

kind of cheese? Ryan Jones : my favorite kind of cheese is pringles!! |

from Omaha to see you play in NC in a couple weeks. We look forward to your

| Winston-Salem Buc : What can we expect
to see from the USF bulls this weekend? Good luck and have them keep Wake
on the schedule so us WS folks and get to see you guys play! Ryan Jones : USF is a good team. this is going to be another good test for us, but i like the way we are playing right now and i think are chances are good |
| Pete : Who was your greatest influence? Ryan Jones : i always used to try to play good for my parents and my grandparents, but my grandparents always gave me money if i did good so probably more for them!! |
| bubba : hey jonsey do u think i should
go for a new fashion color this year or should i stick to the old purple
and yellow hair? Ryan Jones : i would stick with the yellow and purple, but shave off the half that is yellow, and get a tattoo of me somewhere |
| Greg : How tall are you anyway. The
media guide lists you at a different height every year! Ryan Jones : I am really 5'8'' but for some reason they have decided to make me shrink every year! |

you feel your extensive ballet training has helped your ability to be a good
equipment manager.... thats what you are right? Ryan Jones : Yes, due to my handicap of being vertically challenged i am the equipment manager, and i am good at it because i keep the equipment in a room that has a small door that only i can fit through! |

coming up against USF, what will be the most important factors you see for
the Pirates to win the series and possibly sweep the Bulls? Ryan Jones : i think we need to jump on them early. they are a team that makes a lot of errors so we need to put some pressure on them |

"D-Roc"; how fear do you think is in the opposing pitchers? Ryan Jones : i dont know how much fear they have, but if you give us a good pitch to hit, it will probably go a long way |

this year? if so then keep drinking it! Ryan Jones : yes, but it is lactaid milk, so its just fake |
| Mama : Is is true that all of your
athletic giftedness comes from your mother's side of the family?? Ryan Jones : there is no doubt that my athletic ability comes from you mom. i am so gifted to have your speed and agility. we will talk about the height thing later!!!!!!! |
| Grandpap : Are you going to give me
the next home run ball that you hit? Ryan Jones : i will try to hit it all the way to Pittsburgh so i dont have to give it to you, and you can just go outside and pick it up |

like to see ECU play a PAC Ten school every year? Ryan Jones : Definately, we want to try to play the good teams, and this lets us travel around the country too |

upcoming series with usf Ryan Jones : its going to be a good one. they are having a good year and i would like to put a damper on that |
| Uncle Rick : It seems to me that your
uncles on your mothers side are both over 6 feet tall ... whose side of the
family is to blame? Ryan Jones : i am still not convinced that i am the product of Tom and Wendy Jones so i dont know who to blame yet |
| GA Pirate : Who do you expect to be
hitting in the #3 and #4 spot at CUSA tournament time? Ryan Jones : i think trevor will hit 3 and darryl will hit 4 |

a great series out here against ASU and it was great exposure for ECU out
west. People definitely took notice of the program. Plans for Omaha?? Ryan Jones : that was a tough weekend. i thought we should have won some of those games, but we know it, and i think they knew it too |
| GA Pirate : Can you explain your arm
injury and how you injured it? Ryan Jones : i injured my arm when we were in Arizona St. during infield/outfield before the game. hopefully i'll be back out there soon |

dig the long ball? Ryan Jones : yes, that is a true statement, but for some reason it has never worked for me |

if baseball doesnt work out for you. you can always be a male model Ryan Jones : yes, i already have had some offers from mens health, and jamie paige is trying to get me to do some work with Revlon |
