Construction crews are putting the finishing touches on the last of three new fields at the East Carolina University's Cliff Moore Practice Facility.
The facility's transformation began during the summer and early fall of this year and is expected to be complete by the end of this month.
The Pirates' new top-notch facility includes two regulation-length natural Bermuda Tift grass game fields, while a third field, which is perpendicular to the others, consists of a 78,120 square-foot Prestige XT Synthetic playing surface. Workers began to install the carpet late last week and are in the final phases of the project.
