Final Clark-LeClair Stadium Visitation Date Cancelled

GREENVILLE, N.C. --The last of three visitation dates for East Carolina baseball fans to view the final construction phases of Clark-LeClair Stadium, originally scheduled for Friday, February 18, has been cancelled according to an announcement from ECU Assistant Athletics Director for Operations J.J. McLamb.
McLamb cited time constraints, site access problems and some unexpected constructional hazards as reasons for closing admission to the general public a week early.
ECU and stadium construction manager T.A. Loving Company hosted two previous visitation dates on Jan. 21 and Feb. 4 for interested fans and community members before reaching the decision to halt the last tour.
"As we near the final few weeks before completion of this project, we've been asked by T.A. Loving Company to assist in expediting its on-site operations," said McLamb. "While we appreciated the turnout and interest in the two previous visits, we had many people who arrived much later than the 2:00 p.m. start we had scheduled, thus turning a one-hour tour into a four-hour delay. At this juncture, everyone is on a tight schedule and I hope our fans can understand and appreciate that."
The Pirates will officially open Clark-LeClair Stadium March 4 when they meet Michigan in the opening round of the Second Annual Keith LeClair Classic. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
