
ECU's Nicholls Sits In 20th After First Round At Pinehurst Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. - East Carolina's Martin Nicholls carded a four-over par 76 and currently sits in a tie for 20th at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 7,035-yard No. 8 in Pinehurst, N.C.
The Pirates as a team are currently in 11th place after posting a team score of 315 on a cold and windy day. Future Conference USA foe SMU is leading after one round with a score of 292. Indiana (300) is second, while their is a three-way tie for third between Richmond, Marquette and Washington State all at 303.
Indian's Jeff Overton is leading the individual portion of the event with a three-under 69.
Second round is currently under way and final round is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. with a shutgun start.
