
ECU Announces Baseball's Annual "Meet the Pirates"

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina University baseball fans will get their first chance to meet the 2006 Pirates up close and personal on Saturday, Jan. 28, as ECU hosts its sixth annual "Meet the Pirates" luncheon.
Scheduled to start at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the Murphy Center's Harvey Banquet Hall, "Meet the Pirates" offers fans a chance to get autographs and photos of the ECU baseball team and first-year head coach Billy Godwin, as well as enjoy a catered lunch with the Pirate coaches and players. The catered meal will feature a baseball menu with hot dogs, hamburgers, side items and dessert.
A limited number of tickets are available at $7 for adults and $3 for children and advance reservations are required.
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations will be accepted through 5pm on Wednesday, January 25th and may be made by calling the ECU Sports Marketing Office at (252) 737-4530.
The Pirate baseball team will begin pursuit of its eighth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance as they play their home opener against Maryland in Clark-LeClair Stadium on Feb. 10 at 3 p.m.. For season ticket information, call 1-800-DIAL-ECU.
