
Volleyball Falls 3-0 at Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The East Carolina volleyball team fell to Tulane 3-0 Friday night at Folgelman Arena in Conference USA action.
The Green Wave won in three straight games, 30-23, 30-20, 30-25. Tulane improves to 5-5 on the year, getting their first C-USA win of the season, while the Pirates fall to 9-7, 0-2 in C-USA play.
Kelley Wernert led the Pirates with 12 kills and four digs. Trish Monroe led the Pirates with nine digs while Mignon Dubenion tallied 4 total blocks. Hannah Fenker had 22 assists on the night.
Tulane was led by Ksenija Vlaskovic who had 11 kills and six digs. Bridget Wells also tallied double-digit kills, with 10. Jenn Miller led the Green Wave with 13 digs in the win.
Tulane outhit the Pirates .342-.175, recording 54 kills to East Carolina's 34.
East Carolina returns Minges Coliseum on Sun., Sept. 24 as it hosts Conference USA foe UTEP. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
