GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina baseball team re-entered the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association top 30 weekly poll this week with a 25th ranking after a two-week absence.
The Pirates (28-12, 6-5 C-USA) have won their last seven games, which includes a series sweep over Conference USA foe Marshall and most recently a three-game sweep of Savannah State inside Clark-LeClair Stadium.
ECU also received votes this week in the Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, USA Today/ESPN and Rivals.com polls.
The Pirates will hit the road on Tuesday traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on in-state rival and nationally-ranked (6) North Carolina in a midweek clash at Boshamer Stadium with a 6 p.m. (EDT) first pitch scheduled before returning home to host C-USA school Southern Miss.
