
Pirate Baseball Headed To Chapel Hill Regional

GREENVILLE, N.C.- The East Carolina baseball team will makes its 22nd NCAA Regional appearance and eighth in the last nine years after earning a No. 2 seed in the Chapel Hill Regional in this year's NCAA Baseball Championships.
The Pirates (39-21) will square off against No. 3 Western Carolina (40-18) in the first round of the regional on Friday, June 1 at 2 p.m. (EDT) while top-seeded and No. 3 national seed North Carolina (48-12) will face No. 4 Jacksonville (34-26).
Back on March 4 in the LeClair Classic, the Pirates defeated the Catamounts 3-2 on Brandon Henderson's ninth inning double that plated Dale Mollenhauer from first base.
All 2007 NCAA Regionals will be played June 1-4 at 16 different sites across the country.
