GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The College Swim Coaches Association of America named the East Carolina men's swimming and diving team a Division I Academic All-America team earlier this week.
The Pirates were one of 44 teams to make the list, posting a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.066.
Twenty-one members of the team were named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll last season, recording a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, including five student-athletes that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
Dartmouth had a team GPA of 3.600 to claim the top men's spot with Yale second at 3.500 and Georgetown third at 3.376.
Another notable team to make the list is the University of South Carolina, who are coached by former ECU swimmer and alum McGee Moody.
