
Pirates Ranked 30th In NCBWA Poll

GREENVILLE, N.C. - After posting a 5-0 week which included a win over then No. 27 UNC-Wilmington, the East Carolina baseball team garnered a No. 30 national ranking by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Monday afternoon.
The Pirates (32-13, 8-7) also picked up wins over in-state foe Campbell on the road and swept Presbyterian at Clark-LeClair Stadium and extended its current home winning streak to 10 games, which is the sixth longest active streak in the nation.
ECU is one of three C-USA schools represented in this week's NCBWA poll sitting behind Rice (No. 5) and Southern Miss (No. 29).
The Pirates will return to action this week when they travel Wilmington to face No. 24 UNC-Wilmington Tuesday, April 29 with a 7 p.m. first pitch scheduled.
