
Pirates Still Ranked In Collegiate Baseball Poll

GREENVILLE, N.C. - On the heels of its second consecutive Conference USA road series victory the East Carolina baseball team garnered a No. 28 national collegiate baseball ranking by Collegiate Baseball Monday afternoon.
The Pirates (21-9, 5-4 C-USA) posted a 3-2 week which included wins over Campbell (11-2) and at then No. 20 Southern Miss (4-2 and 11-3). On the week, ECU outscored its opponents 34-17, batted .304 and pounded out 56 hits.
ECU is one of four C-USA schools represented in this week's Collegiate Baseball poll sitting behind Rice (No. 13), Houston (No. 19) and is ahead of Southern Miss (No. 29).
The Pirates will return to action this week when they play host to Old Dominion on Tuesday, April 8 with a 6 p.m. first pitch scheduled.
