Wilder To Join ECU Baseball Program

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Mark Wilder, an all-state performer at J.H. Rose High School, will attend and play baseball at East Carolina beginning this fall according to an announcement from Head Baseball Coach Billy Godwin Tuesday.
Wilder, a left-hander from Greenville, N.C., posted a perfect 14-0 record as a senior and helped the Rampants to the 2008 4-A Championship. He appeared in 18 games (11 starts) where he fanned 76 batters in 78 innings of work allowing 26 runs on 52 hits a posted a 1.71 ERA.
His last two victories of the season came as Game 1 starter of the Eastern Regional Championship series and the state championship series. Along with his all-state honors, Wilder was also named first-team All Coastal 3A-4A.
