
Ruhlman Inks Contract With Kansas City Royals

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Former East Carolina Pirate pitcher Josh Ruhlman signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Royals Friday afternoon and is scheduled to report to his designated assignment early next week.
Ruhlman, a two-year lettewinner, appeared in a team and C-USA best 36 games out of the bullpen posting a 3.26 ERA in 2008. He is the third Pirate from the 2008 squad to sign a contract following Corey Kemp (Milwaukee Brewers) and T.J. Hose (Arizona Diamondbacks).
