Head Coach Mack McCarthy
On The Game
"It's getting to be late in the season to be learning these lessons. We can't do it by ourselves. We have to play hard all the time. We have to play together. That's my job to get them to do that. I've got to do a better job getting these guys ready to play.
"Everybody is waiting on something to happen to get them going. Nobody is making something happen. The players try to make something happen, but they do it individually. We should be better than that by now.
"We've got some guys trying really hard, but they're misdirected. Again, that's my job to give them direction and to get them to play hard all the time, not just when they get down or the game gets close.
"I haven't gotten that point across yet, but I assure you I will."
On The Second Half
"Other than the turnovers, we did exactly what we wanted to do in the second half. We had a few ill-advised, forced passes. We shot 67 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range and 91 percent from the free-throw line in the second half. We did things offensively that we wanted to.
"We still haven't learned to trust each other on defense. We get glued up against a man or chase shooters too hard when we should be in the gap. They got to the rim way too often. Scoring 46 points in the second half is outstanding, but we've got to learn what we have to do on the other end to be solid on each and every possession."
On The Offense
"The guards were really frustrated that Chad [Wynn] missed some layups to start the game. Wynn went 0-3 in the first half and the guards were 5-21. The guards have to understand we can't win without Chad, and Chad can't win without the guards. We've heard those things before, but we haven't learned it."
On The Defensive Charges Drawn
"Those two charges were huge plays. You preach that as a coach. Hopefully that's a lesson they learned tonight, the value of the charge. Those were huge plays."
On Greyson Sargent
"It was fun to watch Greyson play. We see him play every day in practice. Two things you know about Greyson: he knows his assignment and he plays hard.
"He's going to be outmatched physically some nights. Greyson has gotten to the point after four years of basketball in the program that there's a certain trust in him. As long as he's not overmatched physically, I've been looking for a place to use him. I think he acquitted himself very nicely tonight.
"He certainly got the crowd excited when he made the three and he got his teammates excited then."
