
Duncan Earns C-USA Weekly Honor

IRVING, Texas --- East Carolina senior Amanda Duncan is the Conference USA Swimmer-of-the-Week for the period ending February 2. The Wake Forest native receives her second honor of the season after breaking her own pool record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.54. She also took first place in the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard medley relay.
Duncan broke the Minges pool record on January 17 by a time of 0.02 in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.97 against UMBC. The senior again lowered the mark against UNC Wilmington Saturday, this time touching in with a time of 55.54. In addition to setting a new pool record, Duncan also finished first in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 2:04.45 and joined her teammates on the winning 200-yard medley relay squad that finished with a time of 1:46.97.
The weekly award is the third of Duncan's career and second in 2008-09.
