GREENVILLE, N.C. - For the 10th consecutive week the East Carolina baseball team is ranked in the top 25 when both the ESPN/USA Today Coaches and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) tabbed the Pirates at No. 24 in this week's national rankings.
The Pirates (28-12, 10-5 C-USA) are coming off a 2-3 week where they picked up wins against N.C. State and Tulane, while dropping a rain-shorten game against Campbell and lost a pair of Conference USA games at Tulane.
This week's rankings marks the longest active streak ranked in at least one poll since the 2004 season.
ECU will be back in action this week when they play host to a pair of midweek games against Elon (Tuesday) and No. 1 North Carolina (Wednesday) before resuming C-USA action at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium on Friday.
