Pirates Extend Winning Streak

JUPITER, Fla. --- The East Carolina men's and women's swimming and diving teams each extended their dual meet-winning streaks during their winter training trip to Jupiter, Fla. The men's squad posted a 137-31 win over Loras College to improve to win its fifth consecutive meet and improve to 5-1. The women's team swept a tri-meet against Loras (76-10) and Conference USA associate member Northern Colorado (68-18) to improve to 7-2 by recording its fourth and fifth straight win.
The Pirates claimed first-place in all 20 events, including all four relay events. A total of 16 different individual ECU competitors earned a first-place finish during the long course competition.
East Carolina returns to action Saturday, Jan. 16, against Old Dominion.
