Pirates Have Strong Showing In Greensboro

Greensboro, N.C. - The East Carolina women's tennis team continued to prepare for spring competition last weekend with the 2010 Spartans Doubles Challenge at UNC Greensboro. Four Pirates traveled to Greensboro and posted a 6-6 record during the competition.
Neena Wanko and Manon Bissat played in the Navy bracket on day one, while Natalie Collins and Kristin Gordon teamed up in the Gold bracket. Both doubles teams ended Friday with a 2-1 mark. Teams were allowed to change their doubles pairing after Friday. Wanko joined Collins and Bissat teamed up with Gordon on Saturday as both doubles units tallied a 1-2 record.
The Pirates finish fall play at the ITA Regional in Chapel Hill at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center Oct. 21-26.
